SAAMARTH – SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS
The school has a Special Department catering to the differently abled children. The School incorporates an Early Intervention Program in its curriculum. The term Early Intervention refers to services given to very young children in the hope that these services, provided early in life, will address any delays in development so that the child will not need special assistance later on.
The purpose of the Early Intervention program is to contribute to the improvement of cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional outcomes of young children to support a holistic development. GVS believes that Interventions may be school or home based but they are integrated with a system for positive behavioural support intended to enable children’s success in school. We spend a great deal of time and energy in investigating the variables that make the EIP work in the best possible way.
SAAMARTH the school’s special education program was inducted in 2011 and is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of students with one or more disability areas. The program is a cluster of resources – specialists, teachers, and support staff.
Constant coordination with regular and special educator and therapist is provided to students to resolve issues related to child’s learning. Students, who are emotionally withdrawn, have low self-esteem they are helped by the counsellor with the agreement of the concerned parents.
