Celebrating Diversity: Class II Students Go ‘Around the World in Style’
On 28 April 2025, the multi-purpose hall of Greater Valley School came alive with colour, culture, and creativity as Class II students participated in a delightful event titled “Dress to Impress: Around the World in Style.” This celebration of global diversity was a joyful culmination of the cultural learning activities integrated into their curriculum.
Dressed in traditional and iconic attire representing India, Japan, Australia, France, Sri Lanka, and Germany, the students brought to life the cultures they had been exploring in class. From handmade accessories to thoughtfully curated outfits, every detail reflected the students’ enthusiasm and effort in capturing the essence of their chosen countries.
The highlight of the day was the Mini Fashion Parade, where each young participant confidently took to the stage, introducing the country they represented with pride. Their radiant smiles and confident strides made the atmosphere both festive and inspiring.
This meaningful initiative went far beyond dressing up — it encouraged students to engage with world cultures, appreciate traditions different from their own, and fostered a sense of global awareness and inclusivity. It was a celebration not just of costumes, but of the spirit of global citizenship.
At GVS, we believe that such immersive experiences lay the foundation for open-minded, respectful, and culturally curious learners — and on this vibrant day, our Class II students truly dressed to impress the world.
